Quick and Inexpensive Teacher Appreciation Gift

This is Mia's first year in school so we are new to doing teacher appreciation gifts. My husband and I are so appreciative of the time and effort put forth by our daughter's three teachers this year. We have two Teacher Appreciation projects this year, one for each teacher (post coming soon) and one for the classroom. On my last visit to the class I noticed they were in need of new pencils so I thought this would be a great gift. Not only will they have fresh pencils to finish out the year but also a cute pencil jar / holder.

I found the metal container at Hobby Lobby for just a few dollars, I loved the color and fun polka dots. It already has a chalkboard label so I added pencils with a chalk marker. We also added a few boxes of pencils, tied on some school themed scrapbooking ribbon (also from Hobby Lobby) and put in a cellophane bag (Dollar Tree). It doesn't get much faster or easier than this one.

  2. Actually this is a very thoughtful gift given that the teacher would probably have to have gone out and bought more pencils out of her own pocket for the class!!

  4. Love love love this little idea! I am always picking up cute things I can use for fast gifts. My favorite wrapping containers are baskets or buckets of any kind. Very cute gift for a teacher.
