Our Day Out With Thomas - Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014

This past weekend we had the opportunity to re-experience a Day Out With Thomas Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014 at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami next to Zoo Miami. The Day Out With Thomas - The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014 will also be in Miami on March 8-9, 2014.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience last year and this year was even more fun. We arrived just in time to visit with Sir Topham Hatt. Our little character lover was a little timid again this year but she did agree to say hi with daddy. After her picture with Sir Topham Hatt Mia got a stamp on her scavenger hunt coloring sheet to redeem later for a prize.

We headed next to hear story telling and a Thomas the Tank engine video inside of one of the historic train cars. After hearing a story Mia received her second stamp on the scavenger hunt coloring sheet.

There were lots of delicious food vendors just like last year. Buddy Fruits was even giving away free samples. We bought a delicious lemonade and headed to the temporary tattoo booth and at Mia's request we all got a Thomas & Friends tattoo. There was also a face painting booth. Mia isn't a fan of having her face painted but she was excited to have her hand and arm done.

It was time to get in line for our ride. Mia was jumping up and down as he pulled into the station. There was a big surprise as Thomas pulled in, it was an all new Thomas this year. It was a fun ride and we enjoyed it as much as we did last year. Music played as we took out 25 minute ride aboard the train being pulled by Thomas.

There were so many things to do besides the train ride. There was a children's play area sponsored by MegaBloks. The gift shop contained everything Thomas and Friends you can imagine all in ONE place! There were bounce houses, lots of photo opportunities, a mini golf course and even a Strider balance bike obstacle course. Miami Metro Zoo had an Animal Exhibit. The live music was perfect entertainment for having lunch in the shade or at one of the many picnic tables. There were multiple food vendors serving everything from pizza to snow cones. Mia also received her prize for completing her scavenger hunt a Thomas & Friends Mega Bloks toy for completing her scavenger hunt.

Thomas the Tank Engine rides depart every 45 minutes, rain or shine. The event is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm each day of the event. 2. That looks like so much fun!! There certainly is a lot to do there and your little girl looked like she was having a blast. If I lived closer the New York I would borrow some kids and go there!!

  3. We did this in Perris California and it was a lot of fun! Can't believe they made it all the way to the other side of the country in such a short time! I never saw so many little boys in one place, that's for sure!
