My Top 10 MUST HAVE Kitchen Gadgets

The holidays are over which means back to healthier eating. Spending more time in the kitchen means using my favorite kitchen gadgets too. I wanted to share my top 10 MUST HAVE kitchen gadgets. I have all of these and love them!

A Microplane is fantastic for grating parmesan cheese, zesting citrus and grating chocolate. Works for cinnamon and nutmeg too. A must have in any foodie's kitchen, I use it a few times a week if not daily. This is a great way to add extra flavor and special touches to your meals and recipes. I wash mine in the top rack of the dishwasher.

I absolutely love the Rub-A-Way Stainless Steel Bar. It removes food odors like garlic and onion that can make hands smell for days if not a week. I have this in my kitchen and use it every time I chop aromatics. Best of all, it really does work. I swear it must have magic or something.

TwixIt Bag Clips are fantastic. I use these on cereal, baking items, crackers and more. It keeps bags closed without the bulk of a chip clip. They work great on freezer items too. No more spilled bags of rice or stale cereal and crackers with these little babies.

Measuring liquids can be a pain and a mess. I love my OXO Good Grips Mini Angled Measuring Cup for just that reason. It makes it easier to accurately measure small amounts of liquids and I end up with less spills. It also has tablespoon markings on the inside.

I have had many peelers in my kitchens and the Smoothglide Peeler from Zyliss is by far my favorite. It peels smoothly and effectively. I use it for carrots, potatoes, jicama and have even used it for parmesan and chocolate too.

Love taking salad in your lunch? Hate the leaking dressing? The Good Grips LockTop Containers from Oxo are amazing and do not leak. They are also top rack dishwasher safe as an added bonus. The ones I have are older and a different color but the same container.

Have you ever read the ingredient label on a bottle of cooking spray? Mine contained silicone and I cannot imagine I should be ingesting silicone. After that I decided that I needed an oil sprayer. The Misto Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer is a great way to be health conscious without giving up your cooking techniques.

I waited years to get one of these and I have no idea why I waited so long. The Silpat Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat is fantastic for all of your baking needs. Nothing sticks to it and it is very easy to clean.

I used to squeeze lemons and limes by hand. After getting a Stainless-Steel Citrus Juice Press I now use it every time I need lemon or lime juice. Besides being easier, faster and less messy it also gets more of the juice out of the citrus.

Ever thought you could use an extra hand in the kitchen? The Recipe Rock holds your recipes handy for you. All of those recipes I print from the internet are easily held up for me and stay a lot cleaner too. It is small and doesn't take up too much space. The magnet is really powerful and could easily hold a few pages at a time. It could also double purpose in the office.

These are definitely must have items in my kitchen. Do you have any must have kitchen gadgets too? I'd love to discover some new ones.
