Becoming Future Friendly

As a member of SheSpeaks I was fortunate to be a part of a recent campaign called Future Friendly, sponsored by P&G. The Future Friendly program is empowering consumers to save energy, reduce water and reduce waste. P&G is taking small steps along with consumers with the hope of making a big impact in the environment and our lives. The essence of this program is simple, we can all make small changes.

I admit that I am not great at making big changes. I do them for a week or maybe two but then it usually becomes too much work or I just forget. I CAN make small changes and stick to them. Just as easy as I switched from vegetable oil to canola oil. We donate used items instead of throwing them away, reducing waste and hopefully ensuring out old items are re-used. We now turn off the water while brushing our teeth, saving so much water. I also switched from liquid dishwasher detergent to a tablet that makes less pre-rinsing necessary, also saving a lot of precious water. My P&G Future Friendly kit included a bag of Cascade Action Packs. I have to admit I am impressed. As a previous washer of dishes before putting the dishes in the dishwasher, I was a little hesitant. I gave it a try and was amazed that my dishes still came out sparkling. I used less water and still got the job done. The only change I had to make was making a different choice at the store. If everyone took these small steps there would be a huge impact.

For more information on how you and your family can become more Future Friendly, visit the P&G Future Friendly website here. What steps are you taking to have a positive impact on our environment? I would love to hear what you and your family are doing!

Disclosure: I received P&G Future Friendly Kit containing a package of Cascade Complete for free in exchange for a review as part of a SheSpeaks campaign. I was not compensated in any other manner. The opinions expressed in this review are that of my own and any claims should be verified on the sponsor's site. Thank you to P&G for allowing me to review their product!
